Katie Lemons
Certified Nutrition Specialist, Physician Assistant
C.N.S. / P.A.
Specialties: Katie is a family medicine PA, CNS, and certified intuitive eating counselor. She uses her various backgrounds to embody what it means to be an integrative care practitioner. She strives to bring realistic and accessible recommendations to her practice, making health promoting behavior change enjoyable and sustainable.
Location: Katie sees clients virtually — book under our Westport tab.
Katie didn't set out to collect degrees. She was drawn to the questions that don't have clean answers - the ones that kept coming up with patients, friends, and family, sitting at the intersection of nutrition, medicine, and how people actually live. So she followed the thread, moving through different programs and experiences, each one adding a layer, until what had felt fragmented finally started to feel cohesive.
That thread led her from a psychology degree at Loyola University Maryland, to her M.S. in Nutrition, to her M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from Northeastern, and eventually to her Certified Nutrition Specialist credential - completed right here through an internship at Indigo. She's also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, which means the relationship you have with food is just as much on the table as what's on your plate.
At Indigo, Katie works exclusively in a nutrition counseling role, bringing the clinical depth of her background as a PA into a space that's entirely focused on you, your history, and what's actually going on beneath the surface.
Here's what she believes: the nutrition world is loud. And most people who come to her aren't lacking information, they're drowning in it. Her job isn't to add more noise or hand you another set of rules to follow. It's to help you learn how to tune back into yourself, cut through the confusion, and start trusting your own body again. She sees herself as a guide in that process, not the authority on it. The goal is always for you to leave feeling more capable and more confident - like you're back in the driver's seat of your own health.
When she's not at Indigo, you'll find her strolling aimlessly through the library, curled up on the couch reading with her dog and fiancé, chasing a laugh with her sister, spending time with family, or getting completely lost in conversation with girlfriends over a long dinner. She'll be the first to remind you that health and wellbeing live in those moments just as much as anything else - and that there's room for joy in this work, and laughter, and all the small things that make life feel like yours.
KATIE'S PERSPECTIVE:
