During a lymphatic drainage massage, a trained therapist uses gentle, rhythmic motions to promote the flow of lymph fluid throughout the body. This technique involves light pressure and specific hand movements that encourage lymphatic vessels to contract and drain accumulated fluid. The massage typically follows the natural pathways of the lymphatic system, which are located just beneath the skin.

Postpartum treatments offer a quiet, relaxing, and restorative space to process the physical transitions of your body and caring for a newborn baby. We offer both a restorative postpartum massage, and a lymphatic drainage postpartum massage.
Our postpartum lymphatic drainage massage uses gentle, rhythmic technique to reduce swelling, ease postpartum discomfort (including C-section-related pain—recommended only after at least 2 weeks), and enhancing circulation. It can also support breastfeeding by improving milk flow and relieving engorgement. In addition to its physical benefits, this massage provides emotional support—offering a calming, nurturing space to help reduce stress and promote relaxation during the early postpartum period.

A lifelong student of holistic healing, Aly has studied many modalities with wise and experienced teachers which she has fused into her own unique style. She graduated from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in 2011, and since then has completed thousands of hours of training in hands-on techniques to help support her clients.
An appointment with Aly addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual layers of the self. With great compassion, she assists her clients to nourish their bodies, release tension, and cultivate a deeper mind-body connection.
Aly is passionate about the healing power of bodywork and has studied Craniosacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release with the Upledger Institute since 2018. She completed both a Reiki Mastership training and 200-hour Yoga Teacher training in 2014 and has been teaching meditation and intuitive movement ever since.

Cathie is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist (from Klose training) licensed in the states of New York and Connecticut, and a graduate of the Finger Lakes school of Massage. She holds specialty certifications in lymphatic drainage and Oncology massage from Tracy Walton & Associates with a specialization in breast cancer.
Cathie is a Licensed Massage Therapist with a special interest in Lymphatic Drainage, an important way to keep our bodies in balance. The lymphatic system is part of our body’s natural detoxification system and is responsible for keeping our fluid levels in balance. When those levels are unbalanced it can lead to disease in the body causing swelling, fatigue, digestion issues, insomnia and more. Lymphatic drainage massage is a light rhythmic massage that helps relax the body and boost immunity. It is a holistic approach to decongest the body and bring relief and balance.

Hallie Calderwood has been practicing as a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Lymphatic Drainage Massage Therapist in Connecticut and New York since 2019. Most recently, she earned her certification as a Plastic Surgery Therapist, specializing in manual lymphatic drainage for post-surgical recovery.
A graduate of the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado, Hallie discovered her passion for supporting the body’s natural healing processes through both therapeutic and holistic modalities. Her professional journey has taken her into a variety of settings — from a physical therapy office focused on rehabilitation, to a gym environment emphasizing performance and mobility, to a spa dedicated to relaxation and renewal. This range of experience has allowed her to develop a truly integrative approach.
Hallie blends Swedish and deep tissue techniques with neuromuscular trigger point therapy, sports stretching, and Myoskeletal Alignment Technique, creating customized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs. She believes in deeply listening — not only to her clients’ goals, but also to the body’s signals — and drawing on both skill and intuition to bring balance. Guided by the belief that healing is as much an energetic and spiritual journey as it is a physical one, she holds space for clients to reconnect with themselves on every level. Her aim is for every client to leave their session relieved, aligned, and grounded.
