After a brief stint in PR and marketing for fashion, Kara set out to explore her fascination with the human body and its incredible ability to heal. With almost two decades of clinical experience, she obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Long Island University in Brooklyn, began her career with a focus in orthopedics in NYC, and developed a deep interest in pelvic health.
Kara became a board certified women's healthcare practitioner after obtaining the prestigious Women's Health Clinical Specialization in 2016, deepening her focus on pelvic health for both men and women across all stages of life. In 2020, after 350 hours of training, she received her Polestar Pilates teaching certification and loves to integrate Pilates into her treatment plans. Kara embraces the mind-body connection when treating pain and is passionate about empowering her patients through their wellness journey.
Outside the treatment room, Kara leads an active lifestyle, lifting, running, and cross training with a little bit of everything. When she's not moving, you'll find her in the garden, mid-renovation project, or planning the next trip. As a mom, she is passionate about supporting women through every stage, from preconception and pregnancy to postpartum, perimenopause, and beyond, because the right support at the right time makes all the difference.
