Carolyn didn't set out to become a dietitian in the traditional sense, she came to nutrition through psychology, which is why her approach feels so different from the standard "eat this, not that" advice you've probably already tried and abandoned.
After earning her undergraduate degree in psychology from Tulane University and her Master's in Clinical Nutrition from NYU, Carolyn went on to complete advanced training with Dr. Aviva Romm and became certified in Women's Functional and Integrative Medicine. She then joined Indigo Wellness Group as a co-founder alongside her sister Sarah, because they both wanted to build something they couldn't find anywhere else: a practice where integrative medicine, real nutrition, and genuine care for the whole person live under one roof.
Over 15+ years and thousands of clients later, Carolyn's philosophy has stayed the same: real health doesn't require you to give up your real life… or your coffee.
She blends integrative nutrition, intuitive eating, and the best of Eastern and Western medicine to get to the actual root of what's going on, whether that's your labs, your hormones, your gut, your relationship with food, or some combination of all of the above. The client who's doing everything "right" and still doesn't feel well is her favorite puzzle to solve.
A few years ago, Carolyn sold most of what she owned and spent 18 months traveling and living nomadically– and kept seeing clients the whole time.
She's currently based in Mexico City and slowly learning Spanish while working virtually with clients all over the world. It's given her a unique perspective on what it actually looks and feels like to prioritize your health while your life is full and in motion.
