Cathie Grzezcka

Licensed Massage Therapist & Certified Lymphedema Specialist

LMT, CLT

Cathie is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist licensed in both New York and Connecticut, and a graduate of the Finger Lakes School of Massage. She holds specialty certifications in lymphatic drainage and oncology massage through Tracy Walton & Associates, with a particular focus on supporting patients through breast cancer — and her path to this work is one she considers deeply personal.

Before massage therapy, Cathie spent nearly a decade as a stay-at-home mom to her twins, and many more years as a teaching assistant for preschoolers with special needs. When her mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and came to live with her, Cathie found herself instinctively caring for her through touch — massaging her legs to ease the pain. That experience lit something in her. She enrolled in massage school on a leap of faith and graduated before her mother passed.

From her very first specialized training — an oncology course through Tracy Walton & Associates — Cathie knew exactly where she was headed. She went on to complete lymphatic training through the Academy of Lymphedema Studies, and during COVID, earned her Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) designation through the rigorous Klose Training program in Complete Decongestive Therapy. Countless continuing education hours later, she has fully devoted her practice to oncology patients and lymphatic care.

Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle, rhythmic technique that supports the body's natural detoxification process, calms the nervous system, and helps restore balance — particularly valuable for those navigating cancer treatment, recovery, or immune challenges.

When she's not in the treatment room, you'll find Cathie in her garden (her personal therapy), thrifting with her daughter, reading in nature, or exploring somewhere new.

Specialties: Cathie specializes in lymphatic drainage massage and oncology massage.

Location: Work with Cathie in Stamford and Westport.
